The Long Island Woodworkers (LIW) advances the arts and crafts of fine woodworking through education,
programs, and activities focused on sharing the knowledge, skill, and experience of woodworkers and the utilization
of such knowledge, skill, and experience to provide educational and community services.
Meetings feature guest speakers as well as club members who share their
expertise.
Meeting topics covered have included: raised panel construction, gluing,
clamping, sharpening, finishing, turning, tool and jig demonstrations,

In addition to monthly meetings we offer the option of joining special interest groups, a newsletter, seminars, field
trips, toys for tots, a library with video tapes, books, magazines, a
yearly competition and a wealth of new friendships. |
